IMRIS to Exhibit at 2016 American Association of Neurological Surgeons Annual Scientific Meeting
IMRIS solutions provide on-demand access to state-of-the-art imaging during procedures
MINNEAPOLIS, May 2, 2016 – IMRIS, Deerfield Imaging, the global leader in intraoperative imaging, today announced they will be exhibiting the latest technology in intraoperative imaging at the 84th annual American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) 2016 scientific meeting April 30 – May 4, 2016, at McCormick Place West in Chicago, Ill.
IMRIS products give surgeons on-demand access to real-time data and state-of-the-art imaging during the procedure in the operating room (OR) without moving the patient. IMRIS Surgical Theatres are equipped with either high-field magnetic resonance (MR) or 64-slice computed tomography (CT) that moves to the patient on ceiling-mounted rails. The company also designs and manufactures proprietary head fixation devices, horseshoe headrests, imaging coils, and OR tables for use in this unique and multifunctional intraoperative environment.
The theme for the AANS Annual Scientific Meeting is “Neurosurgery Leading the Way.” In addition to highlighting the latest in neurosurgical science and practice, this meeting will explore the concept of neurosurgeons as leaders not only in the operating room, but also in the classroom and the battlefield, the lab and the athletic field.
The IMRIS intraoperative solution is used in 80 hospitals worldwide and more than 20,000 patients have benefited from procedures within the IMRIS Surgical Theatre. AANS visitors are invited to learn more about IMRIS products at booth 5215.
