  • Gregory Sorensen, MD - Executive Chairman, IMRIS, Deerfield Imaging Board of Directors

    Dr. Sorensen is the Executive Chairman of the board of directors for IMRIS, the leader in image guided therapy solutions. As head of the board, Greg brings a deep understanding of technology, the biological basis of disease, the importance of measurable outcomes, and the environment of clinical practice. He was appointed to the board of directors in October 2015. He is a neuroradiologist, well known in the industry for his innovative research in medical imaging and for his expertise in clinical practice. 

    Before joining IMRIS, Greg served as the president and CEO of Siemens Healthcare North America. Prior to Siemens, he served as Professor of Radiology and Health Sciences & Technology at Harvard Medical School; a faculty member of the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology; and co-director of the A.A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, as well as a visiting Professor of Neuroradiology at Oxford University. 

    Leading up to his appointment with Siemens, Greg was a practicing neuroradiologist and active researcher with significant experience in clinical care, clinical trials, and translational research. His research and techniques are utilized by numerous centers throughout the world in phase II and III trials in cancer, stroke, and other illnesses. He holds a B.S. in biology from California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, Calf., a M.S. in computer science from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, and a medical degree from Harvard Medical School, Boston, Mass.

  • Andrew M. Flanagan - President and Chief Executive Officer

    Andrew M. Flanagan is the President and Chief Executive Officer of IMRIS, Deerfield Imaging, and a member of the company’s board of directors. Andy oversees the global management of IMRIS and the success of the company’s leading intraoperative solutions. He leads a seasoned management team dedicated to creating and delivering patient-centricity, healthcare innovations that are safe, effective and proven to improve patient lives. Andy’s emphasis on customer success drives the company’s growth strategy. 

    Andy has an extensive and diverse leadership background having worked in senior roles for Siemens, SAP and Xerox. In addition, he founded an enterprise software company and led an early stage digital health company as the CEO. While at Siemens, Andy was the senior vice president of health services sales and business management within the customer solutions division of Siemens Healthcare, North America. In this role, he drove sales performance, services execution and customer satisfaction of the $1B+ Siemens healthcare software business in the United States. 

    Andy earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nevada, Management School of Business, Reno, Nev., and is pursuing his master’s in health informatics at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.

  • Meir Dahan - Executive Vice President, Research & Development and Chief Technology Officer

    As executive vice president, research and development and chief technology officer, Mr. Dahan is responsible for creating and leading the company’s global technology vision, strategy, and direction that is focused on bringing enhanced visualization to the point of therapy. He has an extensive technical and managerial background along with an outstanding record in developing high-quality innovative products and a proven ability to build high performance teams.                                    

    Prior to joining IMRIS in 2008, Meir has worked to design, develop and launch commercial product platforms with world-renowned corporations such as Baxter Healthcare, 3Com Corporation and US Robotics. He is credited with leading R&D teams that have generated over 130 patents in the area of medical devices and he has personally been awarded over a dozen patents. Meir was recognized for induction of surgical robotic technologies in the 2014 Space Technology Hall of Fame and spoke on Surgical Robots in Concert with the Wider OR Ecosystem in 2015 at the annual Medical Design & Manufacturing meeting. 

    He holds a Master in Business Administration and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Ill., and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Ben Gurion University, Be’er Sheva, Israel.

  • Maurice Holloman - Executive Vice President, Operations

    Mr. Holloman has served as IMRIS’ executive vice president, operations and has been a member of the senior leadership team since 2013. In this role, he and his team are responsible for safe, reliable operations across the globe, which include global manufacturing, supply chain management, and program management. 

    As a seasoned executive, Maurice has a track record of delivering strong results, leading large teams and developing innovative strategies. He has an extensive background in project engineering, site operations management, plant management, supply chain management and operations. Prior to joining IMRIS, Maurice held various operational leadership positions with Medtronic, Novartis Nutrition, ConAgra Foods and Procter & Gamble, Co. 

    He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Ga., and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Tempe, Ariz.

  • Carl Denys - Sr. Vice President, Office of the Customer

    Mr. Denys joined IMRIS in 2011 as the vice president therapy development and education. From 2014 – 2016, Carl was senior vice president of marketing & customer engineering. Today, Carl serves on the senior leadership team as the senior vice president, Office of the Customer.

    In his role, Carl leads the Office of the Customer, a department dedicated to customer satisfaction, clinical outcome excellence and value achievement across the entire IMRIS global community. As a results-driven global marketing executive with 20+ years of diverse experience in sales, research, clinical, marketing and education in medical device, Carl has created and executed global and local strategic initiatives in emerging and developed markets worldwide while building and leading directly managed and virtual teams on complex projects.

    Prior to joining IMRIS, Carl held leadership positions with St. Jude Medical, Boston Scientific, and Guidant Corporation.

    He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Katholieke Hogeschool Brugge-Oostende in Brugge, Belgium and an Executive MBA from University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management, Minneapolis, Minn.
