Sales Director


Company Description

As the intraoperative imaging expert, IMRIS measurably improves patient outcomes through planning, product integration and clinical workflow to give surgeons access to diagnostic quality scans in operating room suites. The IMRIS Surgical Theatre, which uniquely transport MR and CT scanners to the patient using ceiling-mounted rails are sold globally to hospitals that provide considerable value to both customers and patients. Our solutions deliver clinical services to patients in neurosurgical, spinal, interventional and orthopedic markets at best in class institutions across the globe.

We are currently looking for a Sales Director to join our IMRIS team.

OVERVIEW:

The Sales Director is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding the territory’s revenue/booking goals and for account relationships with all Deerfield Imaging customers. This includes the implementation of a regionalized sales strategy that focuses organizational resources on the company’s best revenue and market opportunities.  This position will require one to perform sales analysis, develop a sales pipeline, and close sales. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using Deerfield Imaging current clients and established prospect list, create a plan that will focus sales resources on accounts that have the best revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure that all customers are qualified accounts.  
  • Manage the Sales pipeline, revenue forecasting, and other sales-related reporting systems are up-to-date and accurate. Review this information on a regular basis to ensure all available opportunities have been identified and there is a solid plan in place to bring them to closure.
  • Be responsible for the proliferation and development of the Deerfield Imaging product offering in the relevant territory by attending Regional, Local, and International Surgeon Meetings.
  • Must update sales reporting tools and sales reports in a timely fashion.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, marketing, sales leadership or related field, plus at least 7-10 years’ relevant sales experience
  • At least 3 years successfully selling capital equipment in the medical device arena
  • Neurosurgery experience preferred
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Extensive experience demonstrating strong negotiation skills, value selling methodology, and strategic selling technique
  • Exemplary communication, presentation skills, and professional presence.
  • Require up to 70% domestic travel

Research and Development

Technical Writer


Company Description

We are currently looking for a Technical Writer to join our Research & Development team in Minnetonka, MN.

OVERVIEW:

The Technical Writer collects, edits, and organizes the information required to prepare a variety of customer bound documentation including but not limited to: user manuals, training materials, installation guides, and internal documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, revise or re-format a variety of documents, technical drawings, graphics, and information for departmental documentation covering a wide range of internal and external uses
  • Review the grammar, writing styles, syntax and formatting to help ensure documentation adheres to the organizational standards.
  • Assist in writing instructional documentation and rewrites of quality materials and technical reports
  • Assist with inter-department document review and completion of the required documentation for each review
  • Design, source suppliers and produce labels and signage for a variety of applications
  • Act as primary coordinator for translation service requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Experience/Education:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical publication in medical device industry
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience using Adobe suite applications including Adobe FrameMaker
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Demonstrated experience in writing technical documents

Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), engineering drawing packages (AutoCAD, Visio and Solidworks) and desk-top publishing (Adobe InDesign and FrameMaker)
  • Proficient with image manipulation applications, (Paint.NET, Photoshop, Illustrator) .
  • Strong communication both written and verbally

Software Engineer


We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Minnetonka, MN.

Overview:

This Software Engineer will be primarily responsible for developing reliable and usable software that will enable Deerfield Imaging to deliver high quality medical products. Responsibilities include working with other staff to define and implement functional and user-interface requirements needed within a clinical setting; develop, implement and debug software tools; improve the performance reliability and reusability of existing software systems. The incumbent will effectively manage project deliverables along with daily tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, computer information systems or equivalent degree
  • At least 5 years of industry experience as a developer of product software
  • At least 5 years of modern object-oriented programming experience such as C++, C#, or Java.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of system architecture and usages of modern design techniques such as multi threading, interrupts, file i/o, inter-process communication, and network communication
  • Strong sense of urgency and initiative
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Team-oriented style that values synergy of group efforts

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Applies advanced knowledge of software development and software products in order to develop, enhance and maintain the foundation for large, complex software projects
  • Closes on customer and R&D derived requirements for software development products early in the design cycle
  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of software coding techniques in order to take software design and produce highly efficient implementations with a defined programming language. Ensures all product code is peer reviewed
  • Ensures comprehensive verification to project requirements and validation to customer needs is performed and documented
  • Requires advanced usage of various programming paradigms and software development tools.
  • Knowledge includes ability to debug complex software implementations using standard debugging tools
  • Applies advanced knowledge of the principles and application of coding standards and the methods and guidelines for program documentation
  • Follows the Deerfield Imaging  development process, including the requirements for FDA submission of software

Verification & Validation Engineer


We are currently looking for a Verification & Validation Engineer to join our team in Minnetonka, MN.

Overview:

This Verification & Validation Engineer will perform essential engineering duties in planning and designing Deerfield Imaging products.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 2 years’ of industry experience in V&V position
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic and energetic
  • Working knowledge of calibrated test tools and equipment
  • Hands-on experience with working with complex engineered systems, including software, hardware, and mechanical assemblies
  • Demonstrated planning and organizing skills with a balanced attention to detail
  • Knowledge of IEC, UL and other standards for Medical Devices preferred
  • Familiarity with prototype configuration and requirement management preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze functional, clinical, and system specifications to ensure all requirements are testable
  • Create detailed Verification and Validation (V&V) test plans
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute Design Verification Test (DVT) protocols and prepare test summary reports
  • Design test methods and specify appropriate test tools and equipment
  • Consider abuse and misuse testing requirements based on functional requirements and risk analysis
  • Develop efficient methods of testing, including automations where required
  • Own the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure all requirements are met by either analysis, inspection, or testing
  • Deliver compliance matrices for applicable standards
  • Work with Customer Support to perform product validation testing with Operator Manuals
  • Take initiative to provide technical feedback and innovative ideas to design engineering team from test findings to drive continuous improvement
  • Coordinates with external test labs for testing standards compliance
  • Participate and contribute to technical design reviews and other activities throughout the design phase
